So here we are in the playoffs starting with Wildcard Weekend. Just like in the college bowls I keep separate stats for the playoffs so we are starting with a clean slate. Interesting games this weekend and trends that you must keep in mind for these games. Since 2002 the team with the better strength of schedule has gone a remarkable 37-14-1 ATS this would pick teams KC, Pitt, Minny and GB. The other trend is perfect when it comes up, a team that comes into the playoffs on a 8+ game SU winning streak in the first weekend of playoffs has gone once again a remarkable 0-13 ATS the last 13 times this has happened, the only team this affects is the Chiefs who have won 10 in a row. So as you can see there are conflicting trends here for the Chiefs/Texans game. Well it is time to make my picks for this weekend.

My FIRST BEST BET this weekend is on the PITTSBURGH STEELERS/CINCINNATI BENGALS to go OVER 45. There is a trend here as the over is 6-2 ATS the last 8 times these 2 teams met in Cincinnati. Big Ben has been slinging the ball in recent games and with DeAngelo Williams out for this game Ben will not have much choice but the throw and throw and throw some more and Ben has thrown 6 INTs and 6 TDs the past 3 games vs Cleveland, Baltimore and Denver. If this trend continues this game could be over before the 4th quarter starts. So I am making the OVER in this game my first BEST BET of the weekend.
My NEXT BEST BET this weekend is on the GREEN BAY PACKERS/WASHINGTON REDSKINS to go OVER 45 1/2. I believe both these qbs will get there share of points and I see this game being in the high 40s mid 50s so with the line a 45 1/2 I like the over in this game. So I am making the OVER in this game my next BEST BET of the weekend.
My LAST BET is on the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS on the road spotting the Houston Texans 3 points. For the first time in a very long time I am bucking a very strong streak which goes against the Chiefs 0-13 ATS and instead I am backing the streak that is 37-14-1 ATS which favors the Chiefs. This is a gut pick as I think the Chiefs get the monkey off their backs and win this game but it will be an ugly game as both teams are conservative most of this game will be played between the 20s. However, when all is said and done the Chiefs will win this game by enough to cover the spread. I am making them my last BEST BET for this weekend.
Regular Plays
I like Cincinnati at home getting 3 points from Pittsburgh.
I like Seattle on the road giving 4 points to Minnesota.
I like Green Bay on the road getting a point from Washington.

I've had bad weeks before but this past week took the cake. I was just plain awful and it pains me to say that but I was. So it is with great sadness that I post my end of regular season stats, which you can go back and check on this website. Like college bowl season I keep separate stats for the NFL playoffs. So below are my 2015 regular season stats.
WEEK 17 STATS

I hope everyone had a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
We all know this day has to come but this season flew by for me. I would like to thank everyone who visited this site this year and also thank my friend Brian for allowing me to do this on his website. I will not be having long writeups this week as I am exhausted from the 40 bowl games. So with that being said here the picks for the last week of the 2015 NFL season.
BEST BETS
My FIRST BEST BET this week is on the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS on the road giving the Miami Dolphins 10 points. Belichick knows if the Pats win this game they secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, good enough reason for me to back the Pats. I am making the Patroits my first BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET this week is the ARIZONA CARDINALS at home giving the Seattle Seahawks 6 1/2 points. If Carolina loses and Arizona wins they are the number 1 seed and Ariens already said he is playing all his starters. I am making the red how Cardinals my next BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET is on the NEW YORK GIANTS at home spotting the Philadelphia Eagles 3 points. Chip Kelly is gone and this could be Coughlin's last game with the Giants. I am taking the Giants in what might be Coughlin's swan song and his players will win it for him making the Giants my next BEST BET for this week.
My LAST BEST BET is on the CAROLINA PANTHERS at home spotting the Tampa Bay Bucs 10 points. This one is simple if Carolina wins they stay at home if they lose they could end up playing Arizona in Arizona, how's that for motivation. Rivera already said he is playing all his starters and I believe him. I am making the Panthers my LAST BEST BET of the season.
REGULAR PLAYS
As for regular plays I like Kansas City at home giving Oakland 7 points. I like Cincinnati at home giving 9 points to Baltimore. I like the OVER 45 in the Jaguars/Texans game, and the OVER 45 1/2 in the Vikings/Packers game. I like the OVER 43 in the Raiders/Chiefs game, and finally the OVER 47 in the Seahawks/Cardinals game.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
Once again starting Sunday with 2 early plays a best bet on over 47 in the Skins/Eagles game and a regular play on Oakland, Oakland won in overtime but did not cover as a regular play. The Skins/Eagles game is not known at the time of this posting. So with that being said here the rest of my picks for week 16 in the NFL.
BEST BETS
My FIRST BEST BET this week is on the CAROLINA PANTHERS on the road giving the Atlanta Falcons 7 points. After last week's close call against my Giants and the fact they destroyed the Falcons a few weeks ago makes this a very good best bet. I think with the Panthers so close to regular season perfection they will not let up and the Falcons had all they could do to beat the Jags last week. This will is not even close so I am making the Panthers my first BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET this week is on the PITTSBURGH STEELERS on the road giving the Baltimore Ravens 10 points. Both these teams have streaks going Pitt has won 3 in a row and the Ravens have lost 3 in a row and both streaks will continue this week. I am making the red how Steelers my next BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET is on the DETROIT LIONS at home spotting the San Francisco 49ers 9 points. The Lions looked good to me on Monday night on the road, as for the Saints almost tieing the game well I would expect with Brees at the helm it could have happened but the Lions held them off. The 49ers lost at home to a rookie qb making his first start and the 49ers qb threw 3 picks. The Lions have not beaten the 49ers in a very long time and this is the perfect spot for the Lions to take out their frustrations on a team playing out the string. The Lions will win this game easily making them my next BEST BET for this week.
REGULAR PLAYS
As for regular plays I like Kansas City at home giving Cleveland 11 points. I like Minnesota at home giving 5 points to the New York Giants minus Beckham. I like Seattle at home giving 13 points to St. Louis. I like Dallas on the road getting 6 points from Buffalo. And finally I like the OVER 45 in the Panthers/Falcons game, and the OVER 45 in the Giants/Vikings game.

After looking over these 2 early NFL games I decided they were both worth a play.
I am going to make the Redskins/Eagles going over 47 a BEST BET on Saturday night.
I am going to make the Oakland Raiders at home giving 5 points to the San Diego Chargers a regular play.
