Still can't get to that 500 level with my best bets as the Saints went down last night, they didn't show up for the first half and then tried to rally but fell short. Oh well 2 weeks left to get there. I really wished the Giants pulled off the upset but also fell short no thanks to Beckman who cost our team 45 yards all by himself, he needs anger mgmt and soon. Starting Sunday with 2 early regular plays on Tampa Bay and the Jets I already know I lost the Bucs game. As for the Jets, this posting is before the game ended. So with that being said here the rest of my picks for week 15 in the NFL.
BEST BETS
My FIRST BEST BET this week is on the GREEN BAY PACKERS on the road giving the Oakland Raiders 3 points. This is must win game for the Packers as the Vikings are breathing down their neck and they have no room for error anymore. The Pack got new life last week when McCarthy took over the play calling again and with a week under their belts I can the Packers only getting better this week. The Packers have won and covered the last 3 games against Oakland and Oakland is not a good home team as they are 2-4 SU and ATS. I like only having to spot the Raiders 3 points so I am making the Packers my first BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET this week is on the NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at home giving the Detroit Lions 2 1/2 points on Monday night. The Saints broke their 4 game losing streak last week beating Tampa Bay on the road and now come home to a Detroit team that has lost their last 2 and are only 1-5 on the road this year. Brees and company last game at home played Carolina tough losing by only 3 and now take on a Detroit team that seems to have lost their momentum. I very much like only laying 2 1/2 in this game and I am making the Saints my next BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET is on the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at home spotting the Tennessee Titans 14 points. Gronk is back and what a difference he makes. The Pats are in the driver's seat now to get top seen in the playoffs and I don't see them letting up here. Mariota is a rookie and times he really shows it losing last week to the Jets on the road by 22, so 2 tds show be a piece of cake for the Pats at home and the Titans on their 2nd straight road game. Crunch time is Patriots time and the will win this game easily making them my next BEST BET for this week.
My LAST BEST BET this week sad but true is on the CAROLINA PANTHERS on the road giving the New York Giants 4 points. Yes I know the Giants won last week and looked good doing it but like I've been saying for several weeks now is that the Panthers get no respect, and I think that is what keeps them driving. With such a small spot I am making the Panthers my last BEST BET of the week.
REGULAR PLAYS
As for regular plays I like Kansas City on the road giving Baltimore 7 points. I like Jacskonville at home giving 3 points to Atlanta. I like Seattle at home giving 15 points to Cleveland. I like Arizona on the road giving Philadelphia 3 points. And finally I like the OVER 46 in the Packers/Raiders game, and the OVER 48 in the Falcons/Jaguars game.

After looking over these 2 early NFL games I decided they were both worth regular plays.
I am going to make the Tampa Bay Bucs on the road getting 3 points from the St. Louis Rams a regular play.
I am also going to make the New York Jets on the road giving 3 points to the Dallas Cowboys a regular play.

Well I just can't manage to get enough best bets to get over that 500 hump but I keep trying. I didn't know until Sunday how bad it was going to be in Kansas City and the Jets couldn't seem to get over the total by themselves as Tennessee didn't help much. So with only a few weeks left in the season for some teams the games begin to take on a new meaning for teams out of it a way to spoil those teams who are in the playoff hunt. So picking games for the rest of the season will tend to be a bit more difficult not like the rest of the season was all that easy. LOL So with that being said here are my picks for week 14 in the NFL.
BEST BETS
My FIRST BEST BET this week again is on the CAROLINA PANTHERS at home giving the Atlanta Falcons 7 1/2 points. The Panthers got a rude awakening last week in New Orleans as they had to pull out all the stops to beat the Saints in New Orleans. The Falcons who started out like a house on fire have dropped their last 5 games and not exactly against elite teams, twice to Tampa Bay, SF, Indy and Minnesota. Atlanta is also awful on the road so you ask yourself why only 7 1/2 points?? My answer is because I just don't think the Panthers will get the respect they deserve until they win a Super Bowl, but in the meantime gamblers get to pick up what I think is easy money. After last week the Panthers will come out focused at home and the Falcons won't get a chance to be in this game. I again have no problem laying the points here and making the Panthers my first BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET this week is on the red hot KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at home giving the San Diego Chargers 10 points. What has happened to the Chargers?? San Diego it seems has folded their tents sitting at a very dismal 3-9 and even worse on the road as they are 1-4 in those games. The Chiefs have won and covered the last 3 games against the Chargers and I see no reason that this streak will not continue. The Chiefs had a very bad start but it seems that after Charles went down Alex Smith has become a passing machine and he hasn't thrown an interception in a very long time. The Chiefs are home and sitting at 7-5 have a very good chance of making the playoffs. So my money is on them this week and I am making the Chiefs my next BEST BET of the week.
My NEXT BEST BET is on the OAKLAND RAIDERS/DENVER BRONCOS to go OVER 43 1/2. The over has hit 5 out of the last 6 times these 2 have met in Denver and from what I can see the weather will be perfect for yet another over game. Oakland has allowed at least 30 points in 3 of their last 5 games and with the Denver's injury list especially on defense being a mile long I can't see them keeping the Raiders from scoring. I will make the OVER in this game my next BEST BET for this week.
My LAST BEST BET this week is on the TENNESSEE TITANS/NEW YORK JETS to go OVER 43. The Jets have Fitzpatrick and the Titans have Mariota both can throw the long ball. The weather in New York this weekend is almost springlike and that will bode well for an offensive game. I like my chances here with the over set at 43 so I am making this my last BEST BET of the week.
REGULAR PLAYS
As for regular plays I like Seattle on the road giving Baltimore 11 points. I like Green Bay at home giving 6 1/2 to Dallas. I like Detroit on the road giving St. Louis 3 points. And finally I like the OVER 46 in the Colts/Jaguars game, and the OVER 41 in the Lions/Rams game.
