First I want to apologize for calling my first picks for the 2016-17 bowl season when in fact it's the 2017-18 BOWL SEASON. Well I am off to a great start going 3-0 with my best bets and not knowing the result of the FAU game I am 1-0 with my regular plays. I can only hope this can continue. So here are my picks for bowl games for Wednesday 12/20 thru Sunday 12/24.

In the ARMED FORCES BOWL on Saturday I am taking SAN DIEGO STATE giving 5 1/2 points to Army. Army is a cloud nine beating Navy for the 2nd straight year in a row. With that being said SDSU is coming into this bowl game on a 4 game winning streak. The Aztecs running back Rashad Penny should be the wild card here for SDSU. Also SDSU have faced option teams this year so they will not be surprised by Army's offense. I am making SDSU a BEST BET.

In the BIRMINGHAM BOWL on Saturday I am taking SOUTH FLORIDA(USF) giving 2 1/2 points to Texas Tech. Charlie Strong is one of my favorite coaches and I think that gives the Bulls a very big edge as he also just finished 3 yrs as coach of Texas, so he is familiar with the Red Raiders. USF to me is also the more stable team as TT had a 4 game losing streak and USF never lost 2 in a row all year. I will lay the points and make USF a BEST BET.

In the HAWAII BOWL on Sunday I am taking FRESNO STATE getting 2 1/2 points from Houston. One of my rules is always bet Hawaii at home as being in Hawaii is a distraction to say the least. LOL So with the Bulldogs having played in Hawaii vs Hawaii and won and Houston has not played in Hawaii this year I like Fresno State which also has the much better defense. I will take the points and will make the prediction that Fresno State wins outright and make this a BEST BET.

In the BAHAMAS BOWL on Friday between UAB and Ohio U I like the OVER 57.

In the BAHAMAS BOWL on Friday I like UAB getting 7 1/2 points from Ohio U.

In the DOLLAR GENERAL BOWL on Saturday between Appalachian State and Toledo I like the OVER 61.
