BOWL SEASON is upon us and we have 39 bowls (actually 40 but the Celebration Bowl is between 2 teams I know nothing about). I do not have a pick for every bowl game as getting all 39 right is just impossible to me.  I do keep my bowl stats separate from the regular season so everytime I post picks I will post my current bowl stats. So here are my picks for the start of bowl season for Saturday 12/16 thru Tuesday 12/19.

In the NEW MEXICO BOWL I am taking MARSHALL getting 5 1/2 points from Colorado State. Colorado State is 0-3 ATS their last 3 bowl games while Marshall is 5-0 ATS their last 5 bowl games. The Rams were not good down the stretch as they went 0-6 ATS their last 6 games. I like Marshall in this game if not to win then to keep it close and cover. I am making the Herd a BEST BET.

In the LAS VEGAS BOWL between Boise State and Oregon I am taking the OVER 59 1/2. Both these teams average in the low to mid 30s and with Rypien for Boise and Herbert for Oregon this game should go over easily. I like the over in this game and making it a BEST BET.

In the CAMELLIA BOWL between Middle Tennessee State and Arkansas State  I am taking the OVER 60. Both these teams know each other very well and with both teams with excellent quarterbacks I see this game as a shootout. I like the over in this game and making it a BEST BET.

In the NEW ORLEANS BOWL I am taking Troy giving 6 points to North Texas. 

In the BOCA RATON BOWL on Tuesday I am taking Florida Atlantic giving 21 points to Akron.
