I do not know the result of the Friday games between Miami,Fl/Duke and USC/Washington State. The good news is, I am still in the black with my best bets and regular plays, which is a win in my book. My gut picks suck so far but I still have enough weeks left to turn that around, but this week I have a surprise for you in that section.  Below are the rest of my picks for this week.

BEST BETS

My FIRST BEST BET was on DUKE at home getting 7 points from Miami, Fl.

My NEXT BEST BET is on MINNESOTA at home giving Maryland 11 1/2 points. Maryland is now down to their 3rd string qb and that does not bode well for a team on the road against a red hot Gophers team that has outscored their last 2 opponents 82-17. The Terrapins got crushed last week at home by UCF so I am guesing their morale can't be very high especially losing their 1st and 2nd string qbs. Minnesota is off a bye and had a week to get healthy and that is just 1 more nail in Maryland's coffin. I like the line on this game and in my opinion I think the Gophers will win this game by at least 3 tds. I am making the Golden Gophers  my NEXT BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on the UTEP/ARMY game going OVER 48. Last year Army scored 66 on UTEP and they were on the road. The question here is how much does Army want to score this year and my guess is at least 50 throw in a late TD by UTEP and you got an over.  This is my NEXT BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on SOUTH FLORIDA on the road giving 20 1/2 points to East Carolina. I got to watch USF destroy Temple last week, while ECU barely squeaked by UConn. Here asre some stats that really swayed me towards the Bulls. USF is 5-0 ATS and 4-1 SU the last 5 meetings between these teams. To top it off ECU hasn't won at home and USF hasn't lost on the road, yet this season. I am taking South Florida to win and cover the spread. This is my NEXT BEST BET.

My LAST BEST BET is on SMU at home giving UConn 17 1/2 points. SMU is an under the radar hot team and they are undefeated at home (3-0). UConn got beat by ECU last week and as you can tell by my writeup on the USF/ECU game I do not hold a very high opinion this year of ECU. SMU did lose to TCU but did score more against them than Okie State did and Okie State was home while SMU was at TCU. I think SMU will have this game well in hand by the 3rd quarter and will only see UConn in their rear view mirror. This is my LAST BEST BET.

REGULAR PLAYS

As for regular plays, I already took the USC/Washington State game to go over 65 on Friday night.  I also like Navy on the road giving 6 1/2 points to Tulsa. I like Pittsburgh at home giving Rice 19 1/2 points. I like Louisiana Tech at home giving 11 1/2  points to South Alabama. I like the Arizona State/Stanford game to go over 60. And finally I like the California/Oregon game to go over 67. 

This is where I've been putting my gut feeling play but this week we have our guest handicapper MOOSE THE GREEK giving us his LOCK OF THE WEEK and it is VIRGINIA TECH.
