Starting out feeling good that I am finally in the black with my best bets and I hope to continue that streak this weekend as you know I love streaks. I have a few plays that I feel strong about so here are my picks for this week in college football.
BEST BETS
My FIRST BEST BET this week is on the SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI GOLDEN EAGLES at home giving the Old Dominion Monarchs 21 points. So. Miss. is on a 4 game winning streak outscoring their opponents 175 to 43. I got to watch So. Miss. last week as they absolutely destroyed Rice. This is also the Golden Eagles last home game so I think they would like to end with another blowout. ODU is a 2 game win streak beating UTEP and UTSA outscoring these 2 losers 67 to 52. I hate to say it but I love this game and I sure hope I get to see it. I am making the Golden Eagles my first BEST BET.
My NEXT BEST BET this week is on the OKLAHOMA SOONERS at home giving the TCU Horned Frogs 10 points. Oklahoma comes into this game on fire and if they win these last 2 games they will win the BIG12. TCU is hurting which is why the line for this game came out so late in the week due to the fact Boykin might not play and if he does he will not be 100% and to add to TCU's misery their outstanding wide receiver Doctson is out for the season. The stats on the Sooners offense are mind blowing, their QB Mayfield has 31 TD passes, their RB Perine has 12 rushing TDs, their wide receiver Shepard has 9 TDs. TCU may stay in this game for awhile but the Sooners will salt this game away in the second half. I am making Oklahoma my next BEST BET.
My NEXT BEST BET will be on the RUTGERS SCARLET KNIGHTS on the road giving the Army Black Knights 4 1/2 points. Rutgers in my opinion is taking a big step down in class here as they just got finished playing Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State, who the hell made their schedule ?? Rutgers also has a couple of nice streaks going against the Cadets first they are 5-0 ATS the last 5 meetings at West Point and they are 9-1 ATS the last 10 meetings. If Army falls behind early and I think they will they will have to pass the ball which is not part of their game as they are at best a mediocre option team. I will spot the 4 1/2 points and make Rutgers my next BEST BET.
My LAST BEST BET is on the MISSOURI TIGERS at home getting 9 points from the Tennessee Volunteers. Missouri has had their share of problems this year but after their coach Gary Pinkel announced he was retiring after this year because of cancer the Tigers snapped a 4 game losing streak and beat BYU. Mizzou is at the end of a 3 game home stand and needs 1 more win to be bowl eligible, a nice send off for their coach. Tennessee is not great on the road this year having won only 1 game. They are already bowl eligible and have a plethora of injuries to deal with before bowl season. I like getting 9 points with a home team with something to play for so I will take the points and make Missouri my LAST BET.
REGULAR PLAYS
As for regular plays I like Oregon at home spotting USC 4 points. I like San Diego State on the road giving 14 points to UNLV. I also like Michigan State on the road getting 14 points from Ohio State. I like Washington on the road giving 15 points to Oregon State. As for over/unders picks I like the Navy/Tulsa game to go OVER 68 and finally I like the Baylor/Oklahoma State game to go OVER 77.
