To say I was humbled this weekend in the NFL is an understatement I was smoked and smoked bad. I don't think I ever went a weekend in the years I have been doing this where I got skunked on my NFL regular plays. An experience I hope to never again endure. I am sorry and I will be very careful in the future not to have this happen again. So sad to say but my week 3 and season stats for the NFL are below. I will update my stats every week during the football season for both college and pros. And one more thing thanks Dallas for bailing me out.

WEEK 3 STATS

BEST BETS    1-2 ATS and 1-2 SU

REGULAR PLAYS 0-5 ATS and 0-5 SU

2016 SEASON STATS

BEST BETS          6-3 ATS and 6-3 SU

REGULAR PLAYS  5-10 ATS and 6-9 SU

I will be back Wednesday night with some picks on the Thursday and Friday night college games. I will be back late Saturday night with my NFL picks and the only way I can possibly go is UP.

And as always  - Remember to bet with your head and not over it.

Well I don't want to jinx myself but I am currently 5-1 ATS with my best bets and I sure hope I can keep that record going this week. I just wish I didn't talk to people as I just had a feeling the Pats even with their 3rd string qb was going to win especially at home, but I did and it cost me and whoever reads this site, SORRY. I will not let that happen again promise. There are some games this weekend that the lines seem a little off so I hope I am right and not the oddsmakers. So here are my picks for this week in the NFL.

BEST BETS

My FIRST BEST BET is on TAMPA BAY  at home spotting the Los Angeles Rams 4 1/2 points. I can't believe that I am backing the Bucs but after watching the Rams pitiful offense I can't help but back the Bucs. Point 1 the Rams have scored 9 points in their first 2 games NINE POINTS. Points 2 the Bucs just got the snot beat out of them last week in Arizona and they have got to be pissed. Point 3, last year the Rams beat the Bucs 31-23 and you know how I feel about revenge games. So there you have it my reasons for backing Tampa Bay. I will lay the 4 1/2 points and make the Bucs my FIRST BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on the OAKLAND/TENNESSEE going OVER 47. Both of these teams can score and both have quarterbacks that I respect in Carr and Mariota. Tennessee has gone over the total the last 3 home games and Oakland has scored 63 points their first 2 games. So with the total under 7 touchdowns I am backing the over here. I am making the OVER 47 a BEST BET.

My LAST BEST BET is on DALLAS at home giving 6 1/2 points to Chicago. The Bears are in disarray and now have a plethora of injuries to deal with as they take on the Cowboys and Zak Prescott. I watched the Bears Monday night and I think the good thing for them is that Cutler is not playing but for Hoyer he will have his hands full taking on the Dallas defense. I don't see this game as a blowout but I do believe the Boys will win this game easily by double digits, making the 6 1/2 point spread very doable. So I am laying the points and making the Boys my last  BEST BET.

REGULAR PLAYS

As for regular plays I like San Diego/Indianapolis game to go over 51.  I like Arizona on the road giving 3 points to Buffalo. I like the New York Giants at home giving Washington 3 points. I like the Minnesota/Carolina game to go over 42 And finally I like Pittsburgh on the road giving 3 points to Philadelphia.

Well that's it for this week in the NFL. I will be back next week with my college and pro picks.

And as always  - Remember to bet with your head and not over it.

Well I got the broom out on Week 2 as I swept my best bets going 3-0, so life is good. Once again there were more surprises in week 2 as the Bucs fell to earth against Arizona. Seattle lost to the Rams and have scored only 15 points in 2 games, what's up Hawks?? I also can't wait to see what Belichick does this week now that Garoppolo is day to day for next week. The Vikings first game in their new stadium last night beat the Packers, congrats Minny. Well enough jibber jabber below are my week 2 and season stats for the NFL. I will update my stats every week during the football season for both college and pros.

WEEK 2 STATS

BEST BETS    3-0 ATS and 3-0 SU

REGULAR PLAYS 2-3 ATS and 2-3 SU

2016 SEASON STATS

BEST BETS          5-1 ATS and 5-1 SU

REGULAR PLAYS  5-5 ATS and 6-4 SU

I will be back late Wednesday night if I have a pick on either Thursday or Friday college games or the Thursday night NFL game, otherwise I will be back late Friday night with my college picks and Saturday night with my NFL picks.

And as always  - Remember to bet with your head and not over it.

Week 1 is in the books and I am in the black with my best bets and my regular plays. I am upset that I didn't put out the over on Thursday's game but I just didn't feel confident enough to post it. I do like a few games this week a lot which scares me a little but that's why they call it gambling. So without further adieu here are my picks for week 2 in the NFL.

BEST BETS

My FIRST BEST BET is on CAROLINA  at home spotting San Francisco 13 1/2 points. I know I know this is a lot of points to give an NFL team but the Panthers have to be pissed after losing AGAIN to the Broncos. The 49ers looked good Monday night but now they are traveling cross country to take on a very angry Carolina team. The Panthers are 4-1 ATS the last 5 times these 2 have met and with 4 days extra rest to get ready I see them blowing out the 49ers, making their cross country trip very unpleasant. I will lay the double digit points and make the Panthers my FIRST BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on the ATLANTA/OAKLAND going OVER 48. Both of these teams can score in week 1 the Atlanta game had 55 points and the Oakland game and 69 points, so 48 should be a piece of cake. I see this game going well into the 50s before it is over and that would give us the over. LOL  I am making the OVER 48 a BEST BET.

My LAST BEST BET is on NEW ENGLAND at home giving 6 1/2 points to Miami. I made the Pats a best bet last week and after watching them beat Arizona on the road without Brady and Gronk made me a believer that Belichick is probably the greatest coach I have seen since the greats like Shula, Landry, Noll and Walsh. I see no reason that the Pats can't beat the Dolphins by less than a touchdown at home. So I am laying the points and making the Pats my last  BEST BET.

REGULAR PLAYS

As for regular plays I like New Orleans/New York Giants game to go over 53.  I like Denver at home giving 6 points to Indianapolis. I like the Tampa Bay/Arizona game to go over 50. I like the Indianapolis/Denver game to go over 47 And finally I like Kansas City on the road getting 2 points from Houston.

Well that's it for this week in the NFL. I will be back next week with my college and pro picks.

And as always  - Remember to bet with your head and not over it.

Week 1 is in the books for the NFL and it did have a few surprises. The Bucs beat the Falcons, the Raiders go for 2 to beat the Saints by 1, the Pats beat the Cardinals without Gronk or Brady, Denver beat Carolina again and the best one for a Giants fan was watching the Cowboys blow the chance to beat the Giants with bad clock mgmt. Life is good and oh yeah being in the black with both my best bets and regular plays. So below are my week 1 and season stats for the NFL. I will update my stats every week during the football season for both college and pros.

WEEK 1 STATS

BEST BETS    2-1 ATS and 2-1 SU

REGULAR PLAYS 3-2 ATS and 4-1 SU

2016 SEASON STATS

BEST BETS          2-1 ATS and 2-1 SU

REGULAR PLAYS  3-2 ATS and 4-1 SU

I will be back late Wednesday night if I have a pick on either Thursday or Friday college games or the Thursday night NFL game, otherwise I will be back late Friday night with my college week 3 picks and Saturday night with my NFL picks.

And as always  - Remember to bet with your head and not over it.
