Ya know I should have seen Monday night coming but I'm sure like most people we were licking our chops with Seattle giving under 2 TDs to the Rams with a 2nd string qb. I will remember from now on that Seattle is just not the same team on the road that it is at home. Of course starting 2 rookies on the offensive line didn't help and losing Rice in the game just made matters even worse. Oh well it is what it is. I am putting this out Thursday as I am picking the Bengals as a regular play. So onto my NFL picks for week 9 and because this is the 2nd week in a row that 6 teams have a bye there will be less picks.

My first best bet this weekend is on the DALLAS COWBOYS at home giving the Minnesota Vikings 10 points. I am sure the Cowboys are going to have a chip on their shoulder after losing a heartbreak last week in Detroit and not let the Vikes even get close enough to have a chance to win the game late. The whole Dez Bryant fiasco I'm sure didn't help matters but I'm sure it will help him get the ball a whole lot more this weekend. The home team in this series is 4-0 ATS last 4 meetings and the favorite is 9-0 ATS last 9, so the stats are definitely favoring the Cowboys. The Vikings are also 0-3 on the road this year and of course it always helps that the Vikings are just a God awful team this year, except for Peterson, but if they fall behind Peterson is taken out of the game which will not help the Vikes either. So with that I am making the Dallas Cowboys my first BEST BET.

My next best bet and last one this week is on Monday night on the GREEN BAY PACKERS at home giving the Chicago Bears 10 1/2 points. Talk about a team that just doesn't function well on offense without their qb, the Bears are definitely the epitome of this. Their defense is also struggling giving up almost 30 ppg and with Rodgers at the helm for the Packers this is not good news. A stat definitely stands out as the Bears are 1-4 ATS the last 5 games in Green Bay. With the Bears injuries on defense as well as Cutler being out on their offense, I am making the Packers a BEST BET.

As for regular plays I like the Cincinnati Bengals on the road on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins to cover the 3 points, and I like the New England Patriots at home giving the Pittsburgh Steelers 6 points.

My underdog plays this week are the St. Louis Rams at home getting a point from the Tennessee Titans, and the Buffalo Bills at home getting 3 points from the Kansas City Chiefs.

My over/under plays for this week are - Kansas City Chiefs/Buffalo Bills over 40New Orleans Saints/New York Jets over 45 1/2, and last but not least the Chicago Bears/Green Bay Packers over 49 1/2 on Monday night.

Well that's it for this weekend and as always,

Remember to bet with your head and not over it.
