With only a few weeks left in college football before bowl season I am happy to say that I am still in the black with my best bets, and that's a good thing. There are some interesting games this weekend and there are a few underdogs I like to win outright. So without further adieu here are my picks for week 12 in college football. 

BEST BETS

My FIRST BEST BET is on GEORGIA at home spotting Kentucky 21 1/2 points. I am picking the Bulldogs coming off an embarrassing 23 point loss to Auburn. This is also their last home game of the season and it's Kentucky's 2nd straight road game. Georgia has also won and covered their last 4 games against Kentucky and I am sure they want to make amends after their first loss of the season and their brief stay at number 1 and then dropping down to 7th. I like Georgia to take out their frustrations on the Wildcats and I am making them my first BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on MEMPHIS at home giving 12 1/2 points to SMU. Memphis has won and covered the last 4 times these 2 teams have met and I don't see that changing, especially since SMU is a dismal 1-3 on the road this year and this is their 2nd straight road game. Memphis is a perfect 5-0 this year at home and you know how I love streaks. I believe that Memphis will win this game by at least 3 tds which is more than enough to cover this spread, this is my NEXT BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on the SMU/MEMPHIS game going OVER 69. Memphis has averaged a little over 47 points a game the past 5 games and SMU has averaged around 31 the past 5 games. So with the total at 69 I find this not only doable but my NEXT BEST BET.

My NEXT BEST BET is on SAN DIEGO STATE at home giving 16 points to Nevada. SDSU is coming home after 2 straight wins on the road facing a Nevada team that is 0-5 on the road this year. The past 2 meetings between these teams SDSU has outscored the Wolfpack 77 to 30 and with the spread at only 16 I see this as my NEXT BEST BET.

My LAST BEST BET is on WYOMING at home getting 3 points from Fresno State. The Cowboys have quietly gone 7-3 this year and their only loss at home was in September and that was to Oregon. Both teams have quarterbacks with issues but both are expected to play, but Allen is home and McMaryion is on the road in Wyoming where the temperature will be around freezing with a hand issue. I like the Cowboys getting points at home and I am making them my LAST BEST BET.

REGULAR PLAYS

As for regular plays I like Ohio State at home giving 38 points to Illinois. I like Oklahoma on the road giving 37 points to Kansas. I like Auburn at home giving 35 points to ULM. I like the Kentucky/Georgia game to go over 52. I like the Arizona State/Oregon State game to go over 59. And finally I like Penn State at home giving 23 1/2 points to Nebraska.

My gut feeling play for this week is on Syracuse on the road against Louisville.
