The Albany Distilling Co. in downtown Albany will host an evening of local food, spirits, art and music from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.
Capital Region farms, businesses and chefs will prepare local tastings that will include products from Northwind Farms, Hawthorne Valley Farm, R & G Cheese Makers, the Farm Hub in the Rondout Valley and a local-cheese selection from Honest Weight Food Co-Op. Food will have pairings featuring Albany Distilling’s spirits.
There will also be a silent auction, work by local Albany artists Chip Fasciana and Abraham Ferraro, and music by the Jeff Nania Trio. Proceeds will benefit the Chefs’ Consortium, a regional nonprofit that educates communities about local food.
Tickets are $40 at the door. Albany Distilling is located at 78 Montgomery St. (behind Quackenbush Square) in downtown Albany, next to the Albany Pump Station.
